The EZ Cat is a new style of rental boat, one that will appeal to guests of all ages. Up until now electric boats have fallen into two main categories: small two man boats or large water taxis. While both have their place, your guests may want something bigger than a two man boat, and you may want to rent them a boat that does not require a staff member to operate.
The EZ Cat fits well between these two extremes. It is a sleek electric boat with seating for four and plenty of room for swimming and sunbathing. We have coupled the safe, stable platform of a sailing catamaran with the high performance and maneuverability of twin electric drive, controlled by an easy to use joystick. With 6 hours of runtime and a top speed of 5 mph this boat has range, and handles well in wind and waves that would swamp smaller craft. On reasonably protected waters such as small lakes, rivers and intercoastal waterways, you won't have to worry if your guests decide to go on a three hour tour!
The hull is made of durable, high density polyethylene. Aluminum parts are anodized and/or powdercoated. Batteries are the best Lifeline sealed "no maintenance" style. All electrical connections are waterproof and the onboard battery charger delivers a full charge overnight. Boats are provided with lines, bumpers, paddles, boarding step and safety kit. All you need to put this boat into service is a secure dock with 15 amp electrical service.
